Hi, I’m Wilfred.
I'm a licensed architect who's worked on mega-scale projects around the world—and I've sat on hiring committees reviewing hundreds of portfolios. I started Archidood because I know what students struggle with, and I know what reviewers actually want.
I've been on both sides of the table.
I'm Wil, the dood behind Archidood. My path has taken me from the drawing boards at RISD and Harvard GSD to leading mega-projects on a global scale. I've experienced the industry from every angle: I've worked for star-architects, been on hiring committees for top firms, and felt the thrilling panic of starting my own practice.
Along the way, I kept getting pulled into portfolio reviews, admissions committees, hiring decisions. And I started noticing a pattern: brilliant students with mediocre portfolios. Students are taught to think, but rarely taught how to sell.
So I started helping. One student at a time. SciArc. RISD. ArtCenter. Cornell. Columbia. The results spoke for themselves.
Archidood is what happens when you combine real-world practice with a deep understanding of what reviewers actually look for. I know what makes a portfolio get ignored—and I know what makes it irresistible.
The best portfolios aren't scrapbooks. They're arguments. They're narratives. They're invitations to a conversation.
I’m here to connect with and empower the next generation of creators. Specifically, I help:
Aspiring Architects build standout portfolios that finally get them the interview.
Students & Grads navigate the journey from studio to career, avoiding the common pitfalls.
